W4HOD – Heart of Dixie ARS

Welcome to the internet home of the Heart of Dixie ARS – W4HOD.

For DX, Contesting, Antennas, Technology and FUN, HODARS is the club in East Alabama to belong to.

HODARS is based in Lee County, Alabama. The club was formed in July 2007 and our fourth anniversary is fast approaching.  Feel free to look around our site. HODARS is an informal club. We enjoy our hobby and like to have fun with it.

Since the club’s founding, our emphasis has migrated towards contesting, DX, antennas, and technology.  Some of our members operate in various CW, RTTY and SSB contests throughout the year.  We are very fortunate to have some excellent CW operators, antenna experts, DXCC members and several RTTY operators in our membership.

We are the recipient of the LOTW Triple Play Award No. 353.
